Going on a Genealogy Vacation

There's nothing like going on a genealogy vacation. It's several days of doing what you enjoy most - digging up your roots, visiting old family homes, and maybe even making or renewing friendships with distant relatives.

Combining a summer vacation with a genealogy research trip can be rewarding and fun for you and your family.

- transport yourself to the 1920s

Experience life in the 1920s. A traditional BC Electric Railway tram stop village has been created with a combination of heritage and replica buildings on a 10 acre site. Period costumed staff and volunteers welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Be sure to take in the elegance of the Interurban #1223 and the interactive tram exhibit. An exciting must for every visitor is a whirl on the fully restored historic 1912 CW Parker Carousel. Amenities include an ice cream parlour which offers a menu for light meals and snacks, picnic tables, and a gift shop. The site is wheelchair accessible.
